| With 30 years experience as a former Vice President of a credit card company specializing in travel and leisure I have traveled all over the world visiting hundred’s hotels and resorts but was never exposed to the sex tourism business. This changed when I became a US Expatriate living in the Caribbean area as a resort consultant and travel writer. I was asked to explore the thriving industry known under various euphemisms; adult vacations, sex tourism, sex vacation, sex resorts, erotic travel, etc. I also discovered a further phenomenon “Romance Travel” which is vacations by women for the purpose of a sexual and romantic fling with a more exotic partner(s) than available at home. By all measurements available sex travel is booming in the Caribbean and its self-reliant women who are adding significantly to this trend. Typically arrangements for an erotic travel package are discreetly arranged after a visit to this venue via the web directly with the resort or specialty travel agencies. Most packages follow 2 basic formulas. Guests are met at their arrival and driven to their accommodations, typically an all-inclusive private luxury villa with 4 - 8 individual bedrooms and in-suite bathrooms at a location usually remotely located. Clients are introduced to the 6 – 10 girls currently at the resort and given a choice of who is to be their full-time companion for the next 24 hours. The girls are usually a variety of very attractive and shapely friendly girls. A second companion is an option for an extra charge. Three meals are served daily with drinks and snacks available all day. Your day is spent relaxing at a pool or public beach, touring local attractions with your chosen companion and other guests at the villa if you wish. In addition there is shared TV, music and internet available. Prices are high ranging from $5,000.00 to $7,000.00 for 5 days and 4 nights exclusive of airfare with extra days costing $1200.00+ depending on the package. A non-refundable deposit of $1000.00+ is required to confirm your reservation with the entire cost required immediately upon arrival. Don’t believe any website that says your deposit is refundable, it is a ruse. These operators make it so difficult to get back your deposit or charge penalties that you just get tired fighting them and lose it anyway. Always look for the smallest deposit you can make if there is even the slightest chance of cancelling your reservation. The second option also costs approximately the same but your accommodations are at an “all-inclusive” public resort where you choose your companion from 2 or 3 in the tour packagers van when you are picked up at the airport. These tour operators promise to change girls anytime you wish but charge extra to deliver your new companions. Because many of the resorts are far from the airport you must wait until the next day and then you have no choice of your companion. I found the most egregious packagers of this sort in Costa Rica; “Costa Rica Escorts” and “VIP Escorts CR”. I would also avoid any location with an unstable government or dictator unfriendly to your government. Alternatively I found a number of operators which were reputable and located in places of a friendly government. The Dominican Republic is the best of these! My choice for the “best of best” was www.bestdominicanadultvacation.com. It was very economical with a 5 day / 4 night package at $1800 and $2600 for 7 days and 6 nights. Rather than just a room and bath they provide a fully furnished 1 year old beautiful beach-front condo apartment with 1 or 2 air-conditioned bedrooms, living room, kitchen, cable, internet, large terrace overlooking pool/beach, safe, 1 or 2 full baths and daily maid service. There is also 24 Hour Security and full time Concierge. Although meals were not included guests have the flexibility of eating in any one of dozens of restaurants with a variety of offerings. Guests get the opportunity to meet many people from different countries and very friendly Dominicans. Restaurant prices are reasonable with an average dinner meal less than $30 without drinks. Breakfast and lunch are half and you can have almost any meal delivered giving you complete privacy. You can also stock your kitchen from a supermarket within steps where you can purchase your favorite drinks, snacks and foods. Only a $250 deposit is required. There are over 30 girls and 15 men on staff for men, ladies and couples that live locally. This enables them to change your companion daily at no extra charge.
